How to Manage Days and Weekends in Booking

This tutorial describes how to set disabled days and weekends with the WordPress JetBooking plugin and display it on the front end with the JetFormBuilder booking forms.

Before you start check tutorial requirements:

  • Elementor (Free version) or Block Editor (Gutenberg)

  • JetBooking plugin installed and activated

  • JetThemeCore plugin installed and activated

With the JetBooking WordPress plugin, you can set the booking functionality on the website. With the Disabled Days and Days Off features, you can set the weekdays and weekends when customers cannot book properties or services.

On the example of the safari tour on our website, we will show how to set the days off and holidays for this service.

Proceed to the Bookings > Settings > Schedule tab on the WordPress Dashboard.

In the Disabled Days column, you can set the weekdays that will be unavailable for bookings. For example, if your firm is closed on Mondays, you need to enable the toggle near the “Monday” option.

You can set several days of the week, for example, Saturday and Sunday.

In the Days Off column, you can set the dedicated days as the weekends. For example, you can select the national holiday dates (e.g., New Year, Christmas, Easter, etc.) as unavailable for booking. For that, press the “+ Add Days” button, enter the Days Label (e.g., the name of the holiday), set only the Start Date if you want to pick only one day as the weekend, and set the End Date if you’re going to choose two or more days.

days off settings

Set as many days off as you need.

You can also set the custom schedule for the separate property or service. For that, click to edit the post from the post type that you have connected during the booking set up (“Safari Tour” post from the “Tours” post type in our case) and go to the Custom Schedule tab.

Enable the Use Custom Schedule toggle and set the Disabled Days and Days Off. When you finish customizing, hit the “Update” button.

Proceed to the booking form on the front end and click to choose the date in the Check-in/Check-out field.

According to our settings, Saturdays, Sundays, and the 10th of April (Monday after Easter in 2023) are unavailable in the form calendar.

Also, you can notice that the form for this post shows only custom settings for the “Safari Tour.” Mondays that we have disabled in the Booking Settings are available here.
